InterExchange Working Abroad Introduces New Programs

PR Web reports that WYSE Work Abroad member organisation InterExchange has introduced two new programs to increase the number of opportunities for young people to work abroad and experience different cultures: Teach English Italy and Au Pair Italy.

Current InterExchange Working Abroad Teach English programs in Europe offer participants the opportunity to live with a host family abroad while gaining professional experience and valuable second language skills. Teach English programs offered throughout Asia and South America include a more traditional teaching experience in classroom settings. Several programs provide TEFL or TESOL training before placement in the classroom.

“Our Teach English programs are an incredible experience for young people who want to develop essential professional skills while also improving their cultural competence,” says InterExchange Working Abroad Program Manager, James Bridge. “Our participants consistently tell us that their time spent abroad has given them a unique chance to become a part of their host countries and communities.”

The new Teach English in Italy program is offered in Rome and surrounding areas.

The new Au Pair Italy program offers participants a chance to live abroad for up to one year, while earning money, taking classes and traveling. Positions are offered with welcoming families who live near Rome, Turin, Milan and Tuscany. An au pair with InterExchange becomes an extended member of a host family and is given the unique opportunity to live and work in an Italian community.

“Our au pair programs give Americans who have experience working with children many options for using their skills in a new country,” says Bridge. “Our au pair program participants regularly develop a new relationship not just with a family in the host country, but with an entire culture.”
